Helicore Pizzicato strings differ from the Helicore Arco strings primarily in the core construction. The Stranded steel core without the damping layer creates the familiar clarity & brightness for Jazz playing with good sustain & smooth feel.	Spirocore have been the Premier Jazz string since 1964 and sets the standard for sustain & volume. Spirocore come in four gauges with many sets using 4th, long 4th and 5th strings to get a clear pitch in the lower register.
Helicore Hybrid are between the Arco & Pizzicato strings in tone. Primarily used by Jazz players who want a darker sound. Spiral wound steel core, nickel winding with very slight damping layer.	LaBella Supernil Double Bass Strings One of the only Nylon core bass strings still on the market. Thick diameter, loose tension, that are a good choice for mostly Pizzicato playing.
