RJC was started by Sydney luthier Richard J Greenup in 2007

As a bass enthusiast for all things low end, especially for extended range, I have pushed my skills acquired as the owner of the bass shop into the world of custom made electric basses and Uprights. My goal as a maker is to work along side you to create a tone that you can use in all situations, as well as the comfort to do so for the hours it can take to create and perform as a musician.

I truly believe this is an art form in itself but tone is paramount to the final result. I’ll spend a great deal time with you to shape the tones and feel you are after.
